Information Management Consultant, Senior

Location: Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy, providing various levels of flexibility while also ensuring that associates have opportunities to connect in-person. Unless in a designated virtual-eligible role and specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, associates are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. The Information Management Consultant, Senior is a senior contributor responsible for monitoring, analyzing and providing actionable insights on key performance indicators and trends for PAS solutions and clients. In this role, individuals leverage a variety of tools to assess and visualize data and consult with solution, business and analytics leaders to drive performance of the solution suite.

How You Will Make an Impact:

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Serves as a liaison between Reporting and Analytics organization and Solutions/Product organization
  • Develops a foundational understanding of PAS’s clinical solutions and business processes and is able to make the relevant connections between program design & operations and key performance indicators
  • Synthesizes findings into actionable insights and presents effectively to PAS executive leadership team.
  • Establishes, maintains, uses, and continually expands/enhances knowledge of leading business intelligence tools, IM and enterprise applications, data, data warehouses/marts, queries/ programming, and organizational structure
  • Acts as team leader for large-scale, complex internal and enterprise projects.
  • Undertakes complex assignments requiring additional specialized technical or business knowledge
  • Provides design oversight on IM websites and visualization of key insights. Leads development, tracking, analysis and reporting of metrics.
  • Designs, develops, and coordinates a curriculum for coaching and training internal stakeholders in the use of BI and IM tools to enhance business decision-making capability
  • Designs and releases complex and/or high-profile communications about solution performance
  • Provides relevant insights in new and existing BI activities. Provides recommendations and direction for short and long-term strategic decisions to optimize program value and performance
  • Educates team members on advanced BI tools, design strategies, trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Instructs, directs and reviews/monitors work of less experienced IM Consultants and identifies developmental opportunities.
  • Communicates effectively with multiple levels within the organization.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a BS/BA degree in related field and minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience to include experience in data warehouse usage, standard query and reporting tools, SQL, SAS and Business Objects, BI applications and enterprise software; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Experience in standard BI tools and programming/query languages is also required.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • Experience in data warehouse usage, standard query and reporting tools, SQL, SAS and Business Objects, BI applications, Tableau, Qlik Sense and enterprise software strongly preferred.
  • Mastery of technical and business knowledge in all major subject areas within department including multiple disciplines/processes strongly preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare industry is strongly preferred
  • Experience with foundational statistical analysis is preferred
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Associates in this role are expected to have strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, problem-solving skills, facilitation skills, and analytical skills.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $109,120 to $196,416
