Major Duties and Responsibilities

This position is responsible for managing the ColumbusJunior Golf Association and other junior programs at Bull Creek, Oxbow Creek, and Godwin Creek. This position will also perform some operational/managementduties at city golf facilities.
- Customer Service
- Manage and supervise Pro Shop staff
- Operate POS/check-in at peak business time
- Assist in event planning and operations
- Maximize revenue through the best use of golfcourses
- Promote entire facility business - Grill, beveragecart, Pro Shop
- Communicate information to staff or manager
- Manage cash handling procedures
- Teach junior golf clinics
- Run junior golf programs
- Manage those assisting with junior programs
- Promote junior golf throughout the community
- Other related duties as assigned

- Junior golf instructional knowledge including safe practices

- Sufficient experience to solve problems andpromote positive business practices
Minimum Educational and Training Requirements
Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of specialized training in the occupational field, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education. Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
Physical Requirements
Work is typically performed while intermittently sitting or standing. The employee occasionally lifts medium to heavy-weight objects. The work is typically performed inside the Clubhouse, although occasional work outside will be required.
