The opportunity:

The Electrical Project Engineer is primarily responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of capital projects safely to meet budget, schedule, and technical objectives at the mill.

The Project Engineer will also provide technical assistance to Manufacturing and Maintenance.

**What you need to succeed:**Leads cross-functional teams in the development and implementation of a portfolio of capital projects within a process area of the mill. Leads all aspects of conceptual & preliminary design and core team selection and scope development. Leads all aspects of equipment and system selection, procurement, installation, checkout, and commissioning. Develops allocation/appropriation requests, creates, and tracks budgets and schedules. Develops management of change plan. Participates in post-startup tracking & evaluation of results and returns. Selects, leads, and manages multiple consulting and contract resources. Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations. Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations. Manages projects during power/recover boiler annual outages. Provides technical support to Maintenance Planners, Foremen, and to other Engineers. Participates in maintenance on-call support rotation. Develops and lead large major maintenance inspection and repair jobs.

**What we offer:**Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering 5-8 years’ work experience in project management required Experience in pulp and paper industry preferred Proficient computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office – Excel (ability to script macros is preferred), Outlook, PowerPoint, Word Strong leadership ability along with high ethical standards, with uncompromising focus on worker safety and regulatory compliance requirements. Solid ability to organize and plan, working independently with minimal supervision. Ability to forecast spending on projects and manage projects within budget. Ability to maintain a balance of work priorities and complete assignments within established timeframes. Take on every assignment with a sense of urgency. Attention to detail and accuracy is essential. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment. Ability to work independently and interact collaboratively as part of a team. Take an active role when working with a team. Strong analytical skills and the ability to draw valid conclusions supported by fact and data. Strong oral and written communication skills, including ability to present information in a clear and concise manner.
