Work Designation. This role is remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. There may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

- LTD Claims Analyst experience
- Windows and vocational software proficiency
- Strong communication skills
- Organization and time management skills
Education & Experience Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare or a related field
- Master’s Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation CRC
- 3-5 years of vocational rehab work experience
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Education & Experience Preferred
- Certifications in CDMS, CCM, or CVE Specialist
- 2+ years of LTD or STD experience as a rehab consultant
- Certified in ergonomic assessment
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Assesses claimants' education, training and work experiences; identifies vocational assets, alternate occupations, and modifications to work site or duties to prevent or minimize disability claims; develops and implements comprehensive plans of reemployment or vocational rehabilitation for claimants; collaborates with employers to retain or return employees to work; initiate claim prevention, intervention and return to work programs for employers.
- Develops, documents, and implements comprehensive and cost-effective return to work or retraining plans for claimants, which address medical, vocational and psycho-social components; communicates with claimants, employers, medical treatment providers, outside rehabilitation counselors, and other carriers, such as workers’ compensation providers to ensure understanding and the goal of returning to work; motivates claimants and employers to participate in light duty or rehabilitation programs to ensure return to work
- Manages an effective network of vocational rehabilitation providers across the country; assures cost containment and effective utilization of outside vendors and accommodation expenses.
- Performs vocational assessments and maintains ongoing communications with case managers, providers, clinicians, and employers to facilitate transitional work releases or accommodations.
- Applies advanced skills to evaluate physical and/or mental restrictions and limitations, functional abilities and vocational data to assess alternative work options and employability, supports an ergonomic stay- at-work program, and conducts vocational rehabilitation case advisement for LTD disability claims and STD claims if applicable per account service agreement.
- Partners with STD & LTD claim managers and clinicians on co-managing disabled employees on return to work opportunities.
- Serves as a subject matter expert to claim staff on ADAAA accommodations.
- Performs other related duties as required.

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate. The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $105,000.
