Job Overview

The Entertainment Host and costume Character(s) are responsible for creating memorable experiences for all Callaway Resort and Gardens Guests. The ideal candidate will be friendly, approachable, proactive in addressing the needs of Event Guest, and play a vital role in “Making Memories Worth Repeating.”

Responsibilities and Duties

· Costumed character acting, stage show and dance party performances, story time, games, and guest photo assistance.

· Responsible for daily cleaning and upkeep of all costumes and behind the scenes areas.

· Manage guest experience by creating a fun welcoming character experience.

· Crosstrain on all costume areas such as mascot style with mask/head covering and costume with no face covering

· Monitor the Event to ensure Guests safety and security, including identifying and reporting potential hazards or disruption immediately.

· Address any Guest concerns or questions promptly and professionally, offering solutions where appropriate or escalating issues to the Special Events Supervisor, or Manager when necessary.

· Assist with Event-specific tasks, such as facilitating activities, assisting with entertainment and vendors, and ensuring Event details are executed according to plan.

· Represent Callaway Resort and Gardens in a professional and friendly manner, creating a positive and inclusive environment for all Event Guests.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

Ÿ Must be at least 16 years of age or older

Ÿ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and priorities.

Ÿ Positive attitude and willingness to take initiative.

Ÿ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ÿ Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

Ÿ Ability to remain flexible and adapt to the changing needs of events.

Ÿ Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate event schedules is required.

Physical Requirements:

Ÿ Ability to lift up to 50lbs and assist with event setup and breakdown.

Ÿ Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods during events regardless of weather conditions

Ÿ Ability to work in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, and in different weather conditions.
