Responsibilities and Duties
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of, or the ability to learn, all department and state health standards related to safe food handling and maintaining a sanitary environment.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all menu items offered, including allergen information, preparation methods, and proper serving presentation.
- Perform well in fast-paced, high-pressure situations while maintaining composure and professionalism.
- Adapt to changing work environments, including exposure to hot and cold temperature fluctuations.
- Assist in keeping kitchen stock well organized, rotated, labeled and protected
- Able to effectively read and comprehend menus and order screens
- Able to effectively communicate with front of house, leadership and guests as needed.
- Provide exceptional service to all guests by being welcoming, approachable, respectful, and attentive to their needs and requests.
- Work collaboratively with team members and interact with fellow hosts in a friendly, professional, and helpful manner at all times.
- Maintain clean, safe, and efficient working conditions in all assigned areas.
- Effectively follow direction and/or work independently to complete assigned checklists and daily procedures.
- Comply with Callaway standards, policies, and regulations to ensure safe and efficient operations at all times.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and name tag.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
- Availability to work weekends and holidays is required.
- Ability to demonstrate basic reading, comprehension, and math skills.
- Ability to work closely with others; open and effective communication is essential.
- Ability to regularly lift or move up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Previous kitchen experience is preferred.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
