Responsibilities and Duties

Event & Festival Operations

  • Lead and assist with setup and breakdown for major events including Fantasy in Lights, Masters Water Ski Tournament, Spring at Callaway, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Pumpkins at Callaway, and other seasonal programming
  • Support event execution by ensuring all infrastructure is installed accurately and on schedule
  • Technical & Infrastructure Support
  • Assist with stage, lighting, and display installations for events and festivals
  • Set up and maintain power grids, electrical distribution, and lighting systems, including within large-scale environments such as circus tents
  • Install power boxes and lighting displays for seasonal events, including fall and holiday programming
  • Recreation & Beach Operations
  • Support daily operations at Robin Lake Beach, including grooming and general maintenance
  • Assist with setup and operation of beach activities, mini golf, and other recreational offerings
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of all recreation areas
  • Maintenance & Equipment Oversight
  • Provide technical and maintenance support for events, vendors, and contractors
  • Maintain, inspect, and organize event and recreation equipment
  • Assist with installation and removal of seasonal attractions and infrastructure

General Duties

  • Assist with staff training, onboarding, and operational readiness
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support event and facility operations

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work effectively with children, adults, and individuals of all ages and abilities.
  • Must successfully complete a background check.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery and forklifts.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Be able to positively motivate and lead a team, conveying information and ideas clearly and effectively so that ownership of high levels of guest service is understood to be the role of each individual team member.
  • Be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • Be able to work well in high-pressure situations while maintaining composure and objectivity, including the ability to listen carefully to and resolve technical issues.
  • Be able to identify potential technical and then develop methodologies to prevent or limit the impact of those guest issues during guest visits.
  • Be able to effectively listen to, understand, and clarify concerns and issues raised by team members and guests.
