Responsibilities and Duties
Guest Transportation
- Safely operate courtesy carts throughout Callaway Resort & Gardens.
- Transport guests between attractions, lodging accommodations, event venues, parking areas, and resort amenities.
- Respond promptly to guest transportation requests.
- Assist guests with boarding and exiting vehicles safely.
- Provide transportation support during special events.
Guest Service
- Greet guests in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner.
- Provide information about resort amenities, attractions, dining locations, lodging areas, and event venues.
- Offer directions and assist guests with wayfinding throughout the property.
- Anticipate guest needs and provide proactive assistance whenever possible.
- Serve as a positive representative of Callaway Resort & Gardens.
Safety & Compliance
- Operate vehicles in accordance with all company policies and safety procedures.
- Follow posted speed limits and traffic regulations throughout the property.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections before operation.
- Report accidents, incidents, hazards, or maintenance concerns immediately.
- Maintain awareness of pedestrian traffic and high-volume guest areas.
Accessibility Assistance
- Provide transportation assistance for guests with mobility challenges.
- Assist with loading and unloading mobility devices, strollers, and personal belongings when appropriate.
- Ensure accessibility services are delivered professionally and respectfully.
Operational Support
- Assist departments with guest transportation logistics during peak attendance periods.
- Support transportation operations during races, concerts, seasonal events, and group functions.
- Communicate operational concerns, delays, or guest issues to supervisors.
- Help maintain efficient transportation coverage throughout the property.
Vehicle Care & Maintenance
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and complete required documentation.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and appearance standards.
- Monitor battery levels, charging schedules, and fuel requirements as applicable.
- Report maintenance needs promptly.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required
- Previous transportation, traffic control, security, hospitality, or event operations experience preferred
- Ability to safely operate golf carts, shuttles, trolleys, or utility vehicles preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-traffic or high-stress situations
Physical Requirements:
- Long hours are sometimes required.
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 25pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to stand for long hours at a time.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Be able to positively motivate and lead a team, conveying information and ideas clearly and effectively so that ownership of high levels of guest service is understood to be the role of each individual team member.
- Be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Be able to work well in high-pressure situations while maintaining composure and objectivity, including the ability to listen carefully to and resolve guest issues to the satisfaction of the affected guests.
- Be able to identify potential guest issues and then develop methodologies to prevent or limit the impact of those guest issues during guest visits.
- Be able to assimilate complex information and data for various sources and consider, adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the need.
- Be able to effectively listen to, understand, and clarify concerns and issues raised by team members and guests.
- Be able to work with and understand financial information and data and perform basic math functions.
