Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with questions about the facilities.
  • Serve as the night supervisor and point of contact for customers during nights, weekends and some holidays.
  • Advises users of ice time schedules.
  • May meet with venue clients to determine needs for birthday parties, luncheons, dinners, recitals, tournaments, games or other private rentals at the Ice Rink.
  • May be asked to cover events at Civic Center in the absence of the Event Coordinator.
  • Reviews use agreements for Clients.
  • Prepares and distributes Event Work Orders for all concerned.
  • Works with Food and Beverage Manager, Operations Staff, Events Team, Marketing, and Ice Rink Staff to ensure smooth events and proper processes and procedures are followed.
  • Keeps accurate records of receivables and works with Finance Manager to assure proper billing occurs.
  • Operates office equipment needed to complete tasks and regular duties.
  • Assist with the carrying of chairs, sound equipment, and any other items required for specific events.
  • Oversees and assist in post-event cleaning as needed.
  • Works with security to assure venue is properly closed and locked each night.
  • Carries out a continuous improvement and customer-driven service.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Work is supervised by the Events Services Manager and may be directed by the Administrative Secretary located at the Ice Rink on behalf of the Director.

  • Knowledge of facility rules and regulations.
  • Skill in implementing policies and procedures.
  • Skill in problem solving and decision-making.
  • Skill in limited management and supervision.
  • Skill in operating standard office equipment including computers and related software programs.
  • Skill in oral and written communication.

Minimum Educational and Training Requirements

Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of specialized training in the occupational field, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education. Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.

Physical Requirements

While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and see objects at close range and is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
