Columbus Technical College is seeking an individual to serve as a full-time Career Plus (CPH) Coordinator for the Adult Education Program. This is a grant funded position with employment being contingent upon program enrollment and meeting set goals. This individual will be responsible for supporting the Career Plus Instructor and the Career Plus (CPH) Program. This position is full-time/non-exempt.

Please note the following information regarding this position:

a) May be assigned to work at any location on or off campus within our service delivery area. (Muscogee County, Stewart County, Quitman County, Chattahoochee County, Harris County, and Talbot County)

b) May require travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit for CPH Program
  • Provide training to AE and college personnel to ensure they have full understanding of CPH to be able to promote
  • Work with college marketing and public relations departments to advertise the program and recruit
  • Work to ensure community awareness by distributing flyers and promotional information
  • Promote CPH to community leaders and potential students through presentations, meetings, and one-on-one sessions
  • Assist students with completing CPH enrollment paperwork
  • Receive, review, and submit student transcripts to OAE (applicable) for interested students
  • Support active CPH students
  • Ensure needed Blackboard courses are ready to launch each term and that students know their teacher
  • Monitor student performance in high school classes, postsecondary courses, and progress for those completing GED/HiSET tests
  • Conduct regular check-ins (monthly at a minimum) with students
  • Ensure student attendance for HS courses and check-ins are entered into GALIS
  • Maintain Academic Advisement Plans
  • Check in with postsecondary instructors and high school course instructors to ensure students are on track
  • Coordinate needed services/support
  • Work with the Career Services Specialist to ensure students receive soft skills and employment focused training
  • Connect students with college admissions and academic affairs for enrollment, financial aid, and advisement
  • Monitor and Facilitate Data
  • Ensure all new students are entered into Banner, GALIS, and Navigator as appropriate
  • Monitor Banner, GALIS, and Navigator to ensure student information is updated as students’ progress through CPH
  • Monitor student performance to ensure timely credentialing
  • Other job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree from a college or university.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College Admission Experience
  • Recruitment Experience
  • Instructor/Trainer Experience

Salary/Benefits:

Salary is $43,900 annually. Benefits include state holidays, annual leave, sick leave, State of Georgia Retirement, and the Health and Flexible Benefits Program.
