Position Goal

This is a technical position requiring training in the field of radiology technology. Individual is responsible for performing radiographic examinations, assisting radiologists and other physicians during fluoroscopic studies, performing exams in the operating room, and the emergency room.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates complete competency to operate all routine diagnostic and fluoroscopic equipment.
  • Performs exams in a timely manner so that rooms may be turned around.
  • Demonstrate an ability to accurately perform all routine procedures, to include arthrograms, myelograms, and lumbar puncture.
  • Demonstrate the ability to assess film quality and make corrections when necessary.
  • Complete all computer procedures as required for quality management and demonstrates knowledge of ordering, tracking and canceling exams.
  • Perform exams in the emergency room and surgery in a competent and timely manner.
  • Demonstrate the ability to operate all portables and C-Arm equipment.
  • Maintain a repeat rate of less than 5%.
  • Should be available to work when the need arises and could be contacted on any given day/time to assist with the department’s needs which includes days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. If called, you are required to respond and answer the call. If unavailable, you are required to call within 30 minutes of initial call.
  • Provides support and perform duties in any department as deemed necessary.

Experience: One or more years of experience in radiology preferred.

Education: Must be enrolled in a radiology training program

Special Qualifications:

Required:

  • BLS certification required.
