Maintaining proper understanding of onboarding, privileging and licensing for providers to include the period to complete the credentialing process. Serves as the main contact between clinic, providers, facilities, and medical boards on requests and processes.
Position Responsibilities:
- Utilize effective organizational skills to track requests and provide effective follow up on outstanding items in a timely manner.
- Works directly with facility credentialing/Medical Staff departments on all initial and re-credentialing processes for all providers (MD/DO/NP/PA) at the various hospitals or surgery centers.
- Completes application process for providers by providing all data and documents as required by a facility.
- Clear and professional communication with providers as needed.
- Assists with onboarding for new providers
- Credential physicians/providers when a new location is added.
- Maintain an understanding of state requirements for APPs as well as facility Bylaws for accurate delineation of privileges.
- Responsible for timely reappointment cycles to ensure no gaps
- Responsible for assisting with complete and accurate privileges delineations.
Experience:
Required:
- One-year credentialing experience in large medical clinic/hospital setting
Education:
Required:
- High school graduate or equivalent.

Preferred:
- Degree in related field.
Special Qualifications:
Required:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel/Word) and various online credentialing platforms.
- Outstanding organizational and oral/written communication skills.
- Must be able to prioritize work to meet deadlines despite frequent interruptions.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Must be able to prioritize tasks and use good professional judgment in assigned duties.
