POSITION GOAL

The CBO account representative is responsible for patient communications via third party communication and live interactions while ensuring timely patient satisfaction and resolution.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Primary team member for patient communication via third party communication platforms and patient incoming/outgoing calls
  • Secondary point of contact for patient calls within CBO.
  • Submit insurance and patient refund requests for approval/processing.
  • Resolution of billing concerns related to patient billing and payments.
  • Posting patient payments within practice management system.
  • Responsible for explanation of payment plan policies/options and execution within practice management system and third party vendors.
  • Primary contact for patient incoming calls and third party vendor chats.
  • Update insurance within practice management system.
  • Refile claims to appropriate payer.
  • Route calls within organization as applicable.
  • Adhere to returned check process.
  • Issue patient refunds within practice management system.

Experience:

Required:

  • Two years of medical collection experience

Preferred:

  • Physician practice setting preferred

Education:

Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Special Qualifications:

Required:

  • Must have knowledge of medical insurance, medical terminology
  • Determining eligibility/co-insurance/ copayments and deductibles.
  • Must have knowledge of Front and Back End Medical Office Practices
  • Ability to provide timely and accurate follow-up and follow-through
  • Must have excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  • Must be able to demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Must have exceptional multi-tasking ability-prioritization
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must have exceptional organizational and attention to detail

Preferred:

  • CRCR/CPAR
