Provide technical and administrative support for Hughston operating systems and a variety of application software. Maintain knowledge of existing hardware and software in use to maximize the efficiency of the network and user’s utilization.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist in providing computer/network support relating to software and hardware problems reported by users.
- Maintain an adequate level of knowledge of operating systems and application software being used to provide a high level of user support as needed.
- Monitor and evaluate efficiency of software/hardware usage. Provides training as needed.
- Add and maintain users on the network, assigning security access. Maintaining configurations within appropriate guidelines.
- Utilize technology to provide staff with fast, accurate and secure method of gaining access to information so the user is serviced in the fastest, most efficient manner possible.
- Provide PC support to Hughston employees/physicians via desk-side assistance, email or phone. Follow up as necessary to ensure issue(s) corrected.
- Responsible for using prior expertise to determine the root cause of incident(s) as reported to the IT department.
- Monitor application and software licensure to ensure compliance.
- Participate in team meetings (internal/external) providing input and suggestion as needed.
- Conduct research, gathers bids at the best price for all Hughston information technology needs.
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve issues with PC’s, laptops, network connectivity, printers and peripherals. Coordinates assistance from third parties as needed.
- Support the following platforms: Windows XP, Windows 7, Microsoft Office, Computers, Network Printers, Blackberry and other mobile devices.
- Assist as instructed with build out of computer systems for Clinic use.
- Ensure the highest level of confidentiality.
- Responsible for Antivirus/Malware prevention, Apple products, Audio/video, Barraacuda filter, LAN support, WAN support, NAS support, VPN support, PC building, Security, Wireless access, and physician personal.
Experience:
Required:
- One (1) year of experience with Software Installation with strong PC and Network troubleshooting skills.
- Must have knowledge of Active Directory, Network printer installation, Set up and Troubleshooting.
Preferred:
- Medical office IT experience.
Education:
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
- Two (2) year degree in a field related to computer hardware, software or Information Systems.
- Advanced education in this field.
Special Qualifications:
Required:
- Valid Driver’s License, satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR) and proof of insurance required for position on-boarding.
- Annual MVR may be required per policy and procedure; background reports may be ran as needed throughout the course of employment.
Preferred:
- IT Certification(s).
