General Summary

Responsible for reviewing current internal and external quality indicators and ensuring quality of parts provided by suppliers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for field quality improvement and evaluation activities, particularly for the electrical system. (Technical solutions, claim cost reduction, customer complaint minimization, etc.).
  • Execute and implement quality activities in compliance with company goals IQS, VDS, Plant Winner, CR, 3M, 12WM, 36WM, QMP, etc.).
  • Plan and ensure the quality of KD supplied parts through collaborative partnerships within the company and with KD suppliers through meetings.
  • Travel to conduct field investigations on incident vehicles identified in field to understand customer concern.
  • Execute special projects for production support activities.
  • Prepare detailed plans, reports, and schedules for the Quality Assurance team.
  • Ensure compliance of regulations, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications & Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field along with two (2) to five (5) years of progressive experience in the supplier quality field in a manufacturing environment preferably within the automotive industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong self-responsibility, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Flexible schedule to work overtime, holidays and weekends as required.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Analytical problem solving and effective decision-making skills.
  • Ability to perform multi-tasks with multiple priorities within a designated time frame.
  • Broad understanding and application of the automotive industry standards.
  • Ability to understand and meet diverse backgrounds of customers’ needs and global business.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in both exercising company decisions and carrying out essential job duties that affect efficient business operations and its objectives, policies, practices, and conditions.

Specialized Skills and Knowledge Required

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
  • Experience with SAP system preferred.
  • Possess technical skills and knowledge of quality control systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Understand Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
  • Bilingual preferred.
