Role Overview

We are looking for a Machinist to join our team!

Responsibilities include:

• Day shift position, Monday –Friday, 7am-3pm
• May require some weekend work when the production lines are down, and equipment is accessible.
• LOTO safety procedures will be required for the safety of all involved.
• Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of machine shop equipment to include milling machines, lathes, bandsaws, drill presses, tool room grinder and a variety of other fabrication tools.
• Ability to operate a 2 axis cnc mill using conversational style programming knowledge. Strong math skills.
• Knowledge of best machining speeds and feeds for Stainless, carbon steel, Aluminum, Brass as well as plastics and phenolics.
• Responsible for keeping and maintaining a clean shop and should be able to perform maintenance on shop equipment.
• Ability to work in both metric and standard measurements. Metric values will be the main system used.
• Knowledge required to accurately use precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers, bore gauges and indicators.
• Will work closely with engineering to create parts from blueprints provided. Knowledge of CAD/CAM is a plus.
• Will need to operate a 16x120 lathe in which rollers will be ground to finish by a grinding attachment on the cross slide of the carriage. These rollers can range from a diameter of 150.mm up to 520.mm with lengths of 1,800.mm faces or more.
• Need to have a mechanical mindset to understand critical requirements for proper web conveyance of litho-grade aluminum coil sheeting.
• Will use a forklift and related powered industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of Laser alignment equipment is a plus to include understanding coordinate measuring systems. FARO Vantage equipment is used currently.
• This position also requires the ability to perform plant wide maintenance assistance as needed.
• Need to have a can-do attitude towards solving problems that occur and must be a team player.
• Applicants will have to use Kodak’s SAP program to search through and to complete work orders in a timely fashion.
