Please let us know if you require accommodations during the interview process.POSITION TITLE: Human Resources Data AnalystFLSA: Non-ExemptSALARY: $24.99 hourlyWORK DAYS: 240LOCATION: Muscogee County Public Education CenterREPORTS TO: Senior Director of Human ResourcesPrimary Function: The Human Resources Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting HR data to support strategic decision-making across the district. This position provides comprehensive reporting and analytics related to compensation, staffing, recruitment, retention, leave management, benefits, workforce planning, compliance, and organizational trends.The HR Data Analyst ensures data accuracy, develops dashboards and reports, identifies trends, supports leadership with actionable insights, and troubleshoot basic tech-related HR concerns to improve workforce effectiveness and operational efficiency.REQUIREMENTS:1. Educational Level: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Statistics, Finance, or related field2. Experience: Three (3) years of experience in HR analytics, data analysis, payroll, compensation, or related area; Experience in a K-12 public school district preferred; Experience working with large datasets and reporting systems.Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in a K-12 public school district- Experience with Georgia DOE reporting systems (if applicable)- Knowledge of public-sector compensation structures, CPI, and TRS reporting3. Certificates & Licenses: Certification in HR (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, etc.) preferred4. Physical Activities: Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities5. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:- Strong analytical and quantitative skills- Technologically savvy- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, modeling)- Experience with HRIS systems and applicant tracking systems- Ability to build dashboards using reporting or visualization tools- Understanding of compensation structures and public-sector pay schedules- Knowledge of federal and state employment regulations- Ability to interpret data and translate findings into clear recommendations- Strong written and verbal communication skills- High level of discretion and confidentiality- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesEssential Duties and Responsibilities:HR Data Management & Reporting- Develop, maintain, and automate HR reports and dashboards.- Extract and analyze data from HRIS, payroll, applicant tracking systems, and other district systems.- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across HR platforms.- Maintain HR metrics including headcount, vacancies, turnover, retention, and staffing ratios.- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual workforce reports for district leadership and Board presentations.- Respond to ad hoc data requests from HR leadership and executive administration.Compensation & Workforce Analytics- Analyze compensation trends, compression, and market comparisons.- Support development of salary schedules and total rewards analysis.- Model financial impact of staffing changes, supplements, and benefits adjustments.- Assist with budgeting projections related to staffing and compensation.Recruitment & Retention Analytics- Track recruitment metrics including applicant flow, time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and diversity indicators.- Analyze hiring trends and recommend strategies to improve recruitment outcomes.- Develop retention reports and identify turnover patterns by school, department, or classification.- Support workforce planning and succession planning efforts.Leave & Absence Management Reporting- Monitor leave usage trends (FMLA, sick leave, personal leave, etc.).- Identify patterns related to absenteeism.- Provide reporting to ensure compliance with federal and state leave regulations.- Assist in forecasting substitute usage and associated costs.Compliance & Reporting- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local reporting requirements.- Prepare required workforce data reports (e.g., EEO, state DOE reporting, CPI).- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with FERPA and other applicable privacy laws.Systems & Process Improvement- Collaborate with HR and Technology departments to improve system functionality.- Recommend enhancements to HRIS and reporting processes.- Document data procedures and reporting protocols.- Provide training to HR staff on reporting tools and data interpretation.The Muscogee County School District provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation), national origin, disability, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
