Job Description
As an Application Developer, you will lead the design and development of complex software applications. Drawing on your extensive experience, you will provide technical leadership to the development team, overseeing the implementation of scalable and robust solutions. Your role includes mentoring junior developers, conducting code reviews, and ensuring adherence to coding standards and architectural guidelines. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into innovative software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of GIS applications using ESRI technologies.
- Lead efforts in managing and analyzing spatial data to support GIS applications and services.
- Integrate advanced interactive maps and spatial analysis tools into applications.
- Optimize the performance of GIS applications and ensure efficient data processing.
- Implement security measures and ensure compliance with relevant standards in GIS applications.
- Lead the testing and troubleshooting of GIS applications to ensure functionality and performance.
- Collaborate with GIS analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Maintain and enforce documentation standards for GIS application development and spatial data management practices.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Computer Science, GIS, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in developing GIS applications using ESRI technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of GIS concepts, spatial data management, and ESRI software such as ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, and ArcGIS Online.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, and SQL for GIS development.
- Strong analytical skills to manage and analyze spatial data effectively.
- Proven ability to lead GIS projects and manage a team of developers.
Preferred
- Relevant ESRI certifications such as Esri Certified ArcGIS Developer are preferred.
- Federal Consulting Industry Experience Preferred
