Business Development Representative
Austin, TX (Hybrid)
Job Summary
We are a rapidly-growing software company that enables pet daycare, kennel, grooming, and training business owners to manage their businesses more efficiently and effectively. We are looking for a Sales Consultant to join our Gingr team, responsible for selling our business management software and integrated payments solution to prospective customers in the pet services vertical.
In this role, you will be the engine of new business growth for Gingr. You will own your territory from first touch to close, build relationships with pet business owners, and become a trusted advisor in a niche, high-loyalty industry. You will partner closely with your Sales Manager and fellow reps to share best practices, contribute to team goals, and help shape how we go to market.
What You'll Do:
New Business Development
- Field inbound leads generated through the website, webinars, and trade shows, and convert them into qualified pipeline opportunities
- Conduct prospecting and outbound outreach in your assigned market to build and maintain a healthy pipeline of pet services businesses
- Develop leads into prospects by deeply understanding their operational challenges and communicating the value of Gingr software and integrated payments
- Qualify and identify prospect needs by leveraging key contacts within target organizations
Sales Execution & Pipeline Management
- Run compelling phone and web-based sales presentations and product demos tailored to each prospect
- Manage the full sales cycle from first contact to close, proactively moving opportunities forward at every stage
- Use Salesforce to maintain an accurate and up-to-date pipeline, log activity, and provide reliable sales forecasts
- Nurture both new prospects and existing customer relationships to uncover upsell and expansion opportunities
Market Presence & Industry Engagement
- Travel to represent Gingr at industry trade shows 3 to 4 times per year, building brand visibility and sourcing new leads
- Build credibility and trust within the pet services community by becoming knowledgeable about the industry, its operators, and their day-to-day challenges
Tools & Continuous Improvement
- Master the tools needed to be successful: Salesforce, Gingr, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and additional sales enablement platforms
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by sharing feedback on what is and is not working in the market
- Partner with your manager and team to refine messaging, objection handling, and go-to-market approach
What You'll Bring
- Self-starter who takes initiative and works effectively with limited direction -- this is the single most important quality for success in this role
- 2 to 3 years of inbound and/or outbound sales experience; B2B preferred
- Strong ability to learn new platforms quickly, including Gingr, Salesforce, HubSpot, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Ability to explain complex software solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong organizational habits
- Proven track record of hitting and exceeding goals in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Success-driven mindset; thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented culture
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and a full pipeline simultaneously
- Gingr platform experience is a significant plus -- candidates with Gingr knowledge will receive priority consideration
- Familiarity with the pet services or pet care industry is a plus
