ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESRepairs and maintains production machines and facilities equipment, using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and computers. Assists with other maintenance tasks as instructed by the Maintenance Manager. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE- High school diploma or GED- Certification in industrial electrical or industrial maintenance OR three years of industrial machine repair experiencePreferred- Four or more years as an industrial machine repairer in some/all: hydraulics, electrical systems, welding, precision measuring instruments, power tools, computer skills DUTIES- Repairs, installs, and maintains production machinery (presses, robot lines, welders, conveyors, sensors, other equipment)- Repairs, installs, and maintains facilities equipment (air conditioning, compressors, air lines, gas farm, plant electrical, forklifts, other equipment)- Builds/assembles work tables, guards, jigs, racks, control enclosures- Removes/replaces worn or defective parts per manuals/blueprints/diagrams; makes modifications as necessary- Verifies/validates functions of RY sensors; repairs/replaces as needed- Orders maintenance supplies/spare parts per policies/procedures- Maintains maintenance records as instructed by Manager of Maintenance- Conducts scheduled/needed preventive maintenance to production machinery and other equipment- Follows safety regulations with lock out/tag out- Assists with any maintenance repair(s) as instructed; assists in rebuilding defective parts SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES- None TRAINING REQUIREMENTS- Forklift Certification QUALITY STANDARDS- Knowledge of quality, environmental, and company policies/procedures; ensure products meet requirements PHYSICAL DEMANDS- Standing or sitting on hard surface for extended periods; continual hand/arm movement; standing, stooping, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs; reading and computer work; vision minimum 20/40 (with/without correction); may operate ladders/mechanical lifts PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT- Safety shoes, glasses, gloves (as required/desired), ear plugs in production areas including die shop and warehouse WORK ENVIRONMENT- Temperature-controlled plant; loud noises from presses; may be dusty, dirty, greasy; exposure to sharp edges and chemicals in oil This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities.
