ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESRepairs and maintains production machines and facilities equipment, using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and computers. Assists with other maintenance tasks as instructed by the Maintenance Manager.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE- High school diploma or GED- Certification in industrial electrical or industrial maintenance or three years of experience of industrial machine repair experiencePreferred- Four years or more of experience as an industrial machine repairer in some or all of the following areas: hydraulics, electrical systems, welding, precision measuring instruments, power tools, and computer skills.DUTIES- Repairs, installs, and maintains production machinery including, presses, robot lines, welders, conveyors, sensors, and other equipment- Repairs, installs, and maintains facilities equipment including air conditioning, compressors, air lines, gas farm, plant electrical, forklifts, and other equipment- Builds and assembles work tables, guards, jig, racks, control enclosures, and other equipment when required- Removes and replaces worn or defective parts, according to instructional manuals, blueprints, and diagrams; making modifications as necessary- Verifies/validates the functions of RY sensors, repairing/replacing sensors as needed- Orders maintenance supplies and spare parts as required for machinery maintenance and facilities maintenance, following appropriate policies and procedures- Maintains maintenance records as instructed by the Manager of Maintenance- Conducts periodic preventative maintenance to production machinery and other equipment as scheduled or needed by the Manager of Maintenance- Follows safety regulations with lock out/tag out- Assists with any maintenance repair(s) as instructed by the Maintenance Manager- Assists in rebuilding defective parts, if applicableSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES- NoneTRAINING REQUIREMENTS- Forklift CertificationQUALITY STANDARDS- Possesses the knowledge of quality, environmental, and company policies and procedures; ensuring all products are produced efficiently and effectively to meet the established requirements.PHYSICAL DEMANDS- Works in a standing or sitting position, on a hard surface, of extended periods of time, with continual movement of hands and arms. Required to stand, stoop, bend, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.). Required to do reading and computer work. Vision minimum is 20/40 near and distant (with or without corrective lenses). May occasionally operate ladders or mechanical lifts.PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT- Wears safety shoes, glasses, gloves (as required/desired), and ear plugs while in the production area, this includes the die shop and warehouse.WORK ENVIRONMENT- Works inside of a temperature controlled plant where there is a great deal of noise from presses. The work may be dusty, dirty and greasy.
