ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESRepairs and maintains production machines and facilities equipment, using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and computers. Assists with other maintenance tasks as instructed by the Maintenance Manager. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE- High school diploma or GED- Certification in industrial electrical or industrial maintenance or three years of industrial machine repair experiencePreferred- Four years or more of experience as an industrial machine repairer in areas such as hydraulics, electrical systems, welding, precision measuring instruments, power tools, and computer skills DUTIES- Repairs, installs, and maintains production machinery (presses, robot lines, welders, conveyors, sensors, etc.)- Repairs, installs, and maintains facilities equipment (HVAC, compressors, air lines, gas farm, plant electrical, forklifts, etc.)- Builds/assembles work tables, guards, jigs, racks, control enclosures, etc.- Replaces worn/defective parts per manuals, blueprints, diagrams; makes modifications as needed- Verifies/validates functions of sensors; repairs/replaces as needed- Orders maintenance supplies and spare parts per policies and procedures- Maintains maintenance records as instructed by the Manager of Maintenance- Conducts preventative maintenance per schedule/need- Follows safety regulations with lock out/tag out- Assists with maintenance repairs as instructed; assists in rebuilding defective parts if applicable SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES- None TRAINING REQUIREMENTS- Forklift Certification QUALITY STANDARDS- Knowledge of quality, environmental, and company policies and procedures; ensures products meet established requirements PHYSICAL DEMANDS- Standing or sitting on hard surface for extended periods; continual movement of hands/arms; stooping, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs; reading/computer work; vision minimum 20/40 (with or without correction); may operate ladders/mechanical lifts PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT- Safety shoes, glasses, gloves (as required/desired), and ear plugs in production area, including die shop and warehouse WORK ENVIRONMENT- Temperature-controlled plant with significant noise from presses; work may be dusty, dirty, greasy; exposure to sharp edges and oils This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
