GENERAL FUNCTIONSAssists with general warehouse and customer shipment functions. Completes all activities to meet shipping schedule time requirements and warehouse storage procedures. Also operates a forklift to transport, load, unload, and stack large and/or heavy items within plant #1 and plant #2.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE1. Uses a forklift– stack and pull wip cages and/or pallets into production areas using fifo– place coil in assigned staging areas for ry and blanking– move completed parts from robot lines and utility to correct next location– empty scrap containers from production areas.– place finished goods inventory in assigned storage area– load and unload shipments from trucks2. Uses erp system to– load wip parts into jobs for hand press and spot weld area– assist other team members with entering information into plex– load wip parts or coils into jobs for ry and blanking areas– determine correct destination in plant #1 and/or plant #2 and moveparts to that area.– check inventory for correct item identification, packing and pallet condition and adherence to stacking specifications.3. Supports the warehouse with shipments and storage procedures when needed.4. Cleans work area to include sweeping, mopping, and trash removal in warehouse and plant #1.5. Performs other duties as required.QUALITY RESPONSIBILITY- Knowledgeable of quality, environmental and company policies and procedures and to ensure all products are produced efficiently and effectively to meet the established requirements.This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time.WORKING CONDITIONS- Works inside non-temperature controlled warehouse and temperature control plant. The work may be dusty, dirty and greasy. May handle sharp edged material.PHYSICAL EFFORT- (Production) – works in a sitting or standing position on a hard surface; stands, stoops, bends, and lifts heavy objects (approximately 50 lbs.). Work may involve continual movement of hands and arms.- (Administrative) – sitting for long periods of time; bending, stooping, and lifting approximately 20lbs; extensive reading and computer work.- (All) – vision minimum is 20/40 near and distant (with or without corrective lenses).- Operates a forklift vehicle intended to lift heavy and large items; sets up and moves forklift arms.- Must maintain constant awareness of surroundings for safety purposes.SAFETY EQUIPMENT- Wears safety shoes, and glasses while in production area to include die shop and warehouse.- Ear plugs are required in production area.- Gloves will be worn with appropriate task.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS- To perform this job successfully, a team member must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill or education required.- High school diploma or equivalent; six months of forklift or lift truck operating experience.- Must receive the fork lift training and pass the fork lift test.ADDITIONAL PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS- Mechanical or technical level courses; six months of production or machine shop experience; one or more years of forklift/warehouse/shipping experience.- Demonstrates skills and knowledge in the use of the ERP system.
