GENERAL FUNCTIONSAssists with general warehouse and customer shipment functions. Completes activities to meet shipping schedule time requirements and warehouse storage procedures. Operates a forklift to transport, load, unload, and stack large/heavy items within Plant #1 and Plant #2. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / DUTIES- Uses a forklift to: • Stack and pull WIP cages/pallets into production areas using FIFO • Place coil in assigned staging areas for RY and blanking • Move completed parts from robot lines and utility to correct next location • Empty scrap containers from production areas • Place finished goods inventory in assigned storage area • Load and unload shipments from trucks- Uses ERP system to: • Load WIP parts into jobs for hand press and spot weld area • Assist team members with entering information into Plex • Load WIP parts or coils into jobs for RY and blanking areas • Determine correct destination in Plant #1 and/or Plant #2 and move parts accordingly • Check inventory for correct identification, packing, pallet condition, adherence to stacking specs- Supports warehouse with shipments and storage procedures when needed- Cleans work area (sweeping, mopping, trash removal) in warehouse and Plant #1- Performs other duties as required QUALITY RESPONSIBILITY- Knowledgeable of quality, environmental, and company policies/procedures to ensure products meet requirements WORKING CONDITIONS- Works inside non-temperature-controlled warehouse and temperature-controlled plant; work may be dusty, dirty, greasy; may handle sharp-edged material PHYSICAL EFFORT- Production: sitting or standing on hard surface; stands, stoops, bends, lifts ~50 lbs; continual movement of hands/arms- Administrative: sitting for long periods; bending/stooping; lifting ~20 lbs; extensive reading/computer work- All: vision minimum 20/40 (with/without correction); operates forklift; must maintain constant awareness of surroundings for safety SAFETY EQUIPMENT- Wears safety shoes and glasses in production areas (die shop and warehouse); ear plugs required in production area; gloves worn as appropriate QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS- Ability to perform all duties satisfactorily; high school diploma or equivalent; six months of forklift or lift truck operating experience; must receive forklift training and pass forklift test ADDITIONAL PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS- Mechanical/technical courses; six months of production or machine shop experience; one or more years of forklift/warehouse/shipping experience; demonstrated ERP skills/knowledge APPLY TODAY link available on the page.
