ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in production and repair of metal working dies, jigs, fixtures, gauges and cutting tools, by applying the knowledge of design machining and tool and die construction. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED; One year of experience in a leadership role in the Tool and Die Shop; Graduate of a technical school with a degree in machining; Two years of experience in die making; Basic experience in programming of CNC and EDM; Working knowledge of the metric measuring system, calipers, micrometers, and dial gauges. QUALITY RESPONSIBILITY (additional qualifications listed): Graduate of a two-year technical level course in Tool and Die; Four or more years of experience in die making; One or more years of experience as a Lead Technician or trainer in Tool and Die; Possesses the ability to perform basic functions on a computer.
