ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises and coordinates activities in the Production Area; responsible for assigned team members, production schedule, equipment maintenance, and material usage; maintains written documentation of all activities. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED; two years as a Lead Production Technician at Oneda or two years as a Lead Technician or supervisor in a similar manufacturing environment. Preferred: three or more years as a Lead Production Technician or supervisor in a similar industry; technical/vocational and/or two–four years of college education. DUTIES: Supervises and assigns team members to meet production schedules across shifts; updates schedule board; communicates priorities with Lead Production Technicians; adjusts schedule to maximize machinery and resources when issues occur; monitors equipment status using ERP and follows up; trains team members to operate machines safely and produce quality parts; minimizes waste of equipment and materials; enforces company policies and safety; responsible for product quality and recommends corrective actions per policy; acts as liaison for team member suggestions/grievances/needs; communicates activities and concerns with Assistant Plant Manager and other departments; schedules work time including overtime and vacation; ensures correct production documentation (job sheet, lot control, scrap reporting, ERP use); maintains plant facility in a neat, organized manner; aids in job functions as needed; operates forklift as needed per policy. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Observes, evaluates, and documents performance, absenteeism, and tardiness; recommends promotions/transfers/terminations/disciplinary measures. TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: Forklift Certification. QUALITY STANDARDS: Provides leadership and direction to implement and maintain quality, environmental, and company policies and procedures. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Sitting or standing on hard surface for extended periods with continual movement of hands/arms; bending, stooping, lifting up to 50 lbs; reading and computer work; vision minimum 20/40. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Safety shoes, glasses, ear plugs, and gloves (as required/desired) in production areas; appropriate PPE while operating a forklift. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Temperature-controlled plant with loud noises from presses; work will be dusty, dirty, greasy; may handle sharp edged material.
