GENERAL FUNCTIONS: Assists with general warehouse and customer shipment functions; meets shipping schedule time requirements and warehouse storage procedures; operates a forklift to transport, load, unload, and stack large/heavy items within plant #1 and plant #2. CORE DUTIES: Uses a forklift to stack/pull WIP cages/pallets into production using FIFO; place coils in staging for RY and blanking; move completed parts to next locations; empty scrap containers; place finished goods in storage; load/unload trucks. Uses ERP to load WIP parts into jobs for hand press and spot weld; assist others with Plex entries; load WIP parts/coils into jobs for RY and blanking; determine destinations in plant #1/#2 and move parts; check inventory for correct ID, packing, pallet condition, and stacking specs. Supports warehouse with shipments/storage as needed; cleans work areas; performs other duties as required. QUALITY RESPONSIBILITY: Knowledge of quality, environmental, and company policies and procedures to ensure products meet established requirements. WORKING CONDITIONS: Works inside non-temperature-controlled warehouse and temperature-controlled plant; work may be dusty, dirty, greasy; may handle sharp edges. PHYSICAL EFFORT: Production – sitting/standing on hard surface; stands, stoops, bends, lifts approximately 50 lbs; continual hand/arm movement. Administrative – sitting long periods; bending/stooping; lifting approx. 20 lbs; extensive reading/computer work. All – vision minimum 20/40; operates forklift; must maintain constant safety awareness. SAFETY EQUIPMENT: Wears safety shoes and glasses in production, die shop, and warehouse; ear plugs required in production; gloves worn as appropriate. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent; six months of forklift or lift truck operating experience; must receive forklift training and pass test. ADDITIONAL PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Mechanical/technical courses; six months production or machine shop experience; one or more years forklift/warehouse/shipping experience; ERP skills.
