GENERAL FUNCTIONSAssists with warehouse and customer shipment functions. Meets shipping schedules and storage procedures. Operates a forklift to transport, load, unload, and stack large/heavy items within Plant #1 and Plant #2. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / DUTIES- Uses a forklift to: stack/pull WIP cages/pallets into production using FIFO; place coil in staging for RY/blanking; move completed parts to next location; empty scrap containers; place finished goods in storage; load/unload trucks.- Uses ERP system to: load WIP parts into jobs for hand press/spot weld; assist team with entering info into Plex; load WIP parts/coils into jobs for RY/blanking; determine correct destination in Plant #1/#2 and move parts; check inventory for correct ID, packing, pallet condition, stacking specs.- Supports warehouse shipments/storage as needed.- Cleans work areas (sweeping, mopping, trash removal).- Performs other duties as required. QUALITY RESPONSIBILITY- Knowledgeable of quality, environmental, and company policies to ensure products meet requirements. WORKING CONDITIONS- Works inside non-temperature-controlled warehouse and temperature-controlled plant; work may be dusty, dirty, greasy; may handle sharp-edged material. PHYSICAL EFFORT- Production: sitting/standing on hard surface; stand/stoop/bend/lift ~50 lbs; continual hand/arm movement.- Administrative: sitting long periods; bend/stoop/lift ~20 lbs; extensive reading/computer work.- All: vision minimum 20/40 (with/without correction). Operates forklift; must maintain safety awareness. SAFETY EQUIPMENT- Safety shoes and glasses in production areas (die shop and warehouse); ear plugs required in production; gloves as appropriate. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS- High school diploma or equivalent; six months forklift/lift truck experience.- Must receive forklift training and pass test. ADDITIONAL PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS- Mechanical/technical courses; six months production or machine shop; 1+ year forklift/warehouse/shipping; ERP skills.
