The Mammography/Breast Ultrasound Technologist performs specialized examinations of the breast to help in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in patients. The Mammography/Breast Ultrasound Technologist performs a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic radiographic equipment, ultrasound equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology or Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: One (1) year minimum experience as a Mammography Technologist preferred. MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: Registered Radiologic Technologist in Radiography (R) and Mammography (M). Breast Ultrasound requirement can be met by (BS) ARRT or ARDMS. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: BLS certified.
