Responsibilities:

The Executive Director for Human Resources is responsible for advancing the mission, vision, and values of Piedmont's talent initiatives and workforce. As a key member of the hospital executive team, this leader will advise and set strategic direction to impact business objectives related to human capital, ensuring a strong culture that promotes, attracts, and retains talent. The executive director will drive, execute, and shape people-centered functions to cultivate a positive employee lifecycle and experience through innovative and effective solutions. With expertise and a proven track record, the executive director will play a critical role in guiding and overseeing all of hospital's HR strategies that drive continuous growth and operational excellence. In doing so, the executive director will align entity business and talent priorities to influence employees' abilities to thrive and provide top care to Piedmont patients

What you will do

  • Develop and execute HR strategies that support business objectives and organizational effectiveness
  • Oversee the execution of HR functions for the assigned entity including recruitment, total rewards, employee relations, compliance, and other related human resource activities
  • Advise senior leadership on HR policies, legal requirements, and workforce trends
  • Oversee employee engagement, retention, and performance management systems
  • Lead organizational development initiatives including succession planning and leadership training
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Manage HR budgets and resource allocation
  • Directly collaborate with HR executive team, cross-functional entity leadership, and HR Centers of Excellence to align HR with operational goals
  • Represent HR in executive and entity meetings with ability to present confidently on subject matters
  • Leverage workforce analytics and predictive insights to inform strategic decision-making and workforce optimization
  • Lead high-performing HR team in delivering efficient services and solutions to support every stage of employee lifecycle
  • Guide organizational design and change management efforts that enable integration and collaboration across departments
  • Serve as trusted thought partner to CEO, executive team, and executive HR leadership
  • Local travel as appropriate to implement strategic initiatives

Qualifications:

Education
  • Bachelors Degree in human resources, business administration, healthcare administration, or a closely related field Required
  • Masters degree in human resources, business administration, healthcare administration, or a closely related field Preferred
Work Experience
  • 7 years of experience progressively responsible professional work experience in Human Resources including 3 years of management experience. Required
Licenses and Certifications
  • None Required
  • PHR or SHRM-CP Preferred
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP Preferred
  • DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Local travel as appropriate to implement strategic initiatives Preferred
