The Collins Engineering organization has an opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer leading projects with Engineers developing complex engineering solutions. As a key member of the Engineering team, the Senior Project Engineer ensures the successful execution of projects from inception, through deployment to customers, as well as long-term support. The AMQS team focuses on solutions to support various services and infrastructure needs for our internal and external customers.

A multi-faceted role, this position requires versatility across a variety of tasks in a highly collaborative environment. The role collaborates closely with engineers and leaders, at various locations around the globe, to ensure project success.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Lead project execution and maintain performance metrics for decision making and continuous improvement purposes
• Manage project scope (requirements and change requests) ensuring it meets agreed to commitments
• Generate and maintain project schedules with understood dependencies, deliveries, and critical path
• Utilize Earned Value (EV) methods for managing project budget (and schedule)
• Ensure project meets quality expectations
• Identify risks and opportunities and resolve them through proactive ownership
• Prepare well-crafted presentations reporting project status to leadership teams
• Develop Engineering estimates and proposals for potential projects and gain organizational buy-in
• Facilitate communication and alignment with other groups and track low level deliverables

QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with developing and maintaining schedules using Microsoft Project
• Proficiency with developing and maintaining information in Jira
• Proficiency with Agile planning and methodologies, experience with leading teams to meet deliverables
• Experience establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
