The following position is to join our RTX Corporate team:

RTX is looking for a Principal Specialist, Strategic Workforce Planning to join the Workforce Intelligence in HR. This is a team that is chartered with delivering data-driven, integrated solutions that enable better business performance and improve employee experience. As part of the Strategic Workforce Planning Team, you will help implement data-driven solutions that help ensure that RTX has the talent it needs to execute on its strategy.

This role will help drive workforce transformation by developing analysis and tools that enhance RTX’s Strategic Workforce Planning capability. You will get to work and collaborate with a team of diverse experts and build solutions that transform HR and its services.

What You Will Do

  • Individually manage the design and delivery of strategic workforce planning and external labor market analysis products including but not limited to the analysis of availability, competitors, and workforce trends.
  • Act as data translator to the project team on data visualizations to technical and non-technical stakeholders to make more informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Support engagements on workforce planning projects.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and coordination across multiple cross functional teams and stakeholders, driving timely and effective completion of milestones.
  • Navigate complexities that arise when building enterprise level solutions that span across multiple business with diverse requirements.
  • Develop stakeholder and executive updates, presentations, and data driven narratives that facilitate key discussions and actions.
  • Provide analytic support for action planning activities.
  • Collaborate with other members of the workforce intelligence and HR digital technology team in the development and implementation of technology (systems, tools, dashboards) that support workforce planning.
  • May travel up to 10%.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Experience developing and managing data visualizations and compelling artifacts that drive successful execution and stakeholder engagement.
  • Prior experience directing regularly scheduled project update meetings and leveraging leadership skills to drive business outcomes.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and ability to create templates and training programs to drive program growth.
  • Prior experience analyzing, interpreting, synthesizing and presenting complex information.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a field such as: Business, Statistics, Human Capital, Economics, Market Research, or Political Science.
  • Master’s Degree / MBA
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills along with the ability to work with various technical and functional teams.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, follow-through on both verbal and written instructions, and have the ability and flexibility to multi-task, prioritize, and organize multiple projects/tasks concurrently while meeting required deadlines.
  • Interest in research and natural intellectual curiosity.
  • Familiarity with strategic workforce planning, talent acquisition, business analysis, industry research, management consulting, strategic planning, or quantitative analysis.
  • Working knowledge of the Aerospace and Defense industry.
  • Experience working in a large, matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn internal & external business terminology, discern the most salient details, and apply to analysis.
  • Familiarity with analytic, business intelligence, and/or data mining tools such as Alteryx, Microsoft PowerBI, Tableau, SAS, or Qlik.
  • The ability to manipulate, aggregate, and normalize data from different sources to derive intelligence.

Location

  • This role will be primarily remote although, there is a preference for the candidate to be in or near Dallas-Fort Worth, TX; Hartford, CT; Boston, MA; Charlotte, NC; or Tucson, AZ.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
