The Strategic Defense Solution (SDS) team is seeking a Business Operations Senior Manager to join our engineering team. You will serve as the primary point of contact for the SBU by managing the consolidation of staffing data and function as the deputy to the SDS Business Operations Lead.
What You Will Do
• Act as a key team member for SBU-level improvement initiatives focused on workforce planning and predictable performance
• Create, maintain, and manage Excel models, Power BI dashboards, templates, the SDS SharePoint infrastructure, and aggregation tools to monitor and visualize program performance, staffing levels, and other critical business metrics
• Coordinate and streamline data requests across multiple functions, promoting efficiency through “one-time collection, multi-use” methodologies and minimizing redundancy
• Collaborate with Mission Systems functions to identify data sources, establish centralized repositories, and drive improvements in accessibility, knowledge management, and data-driven decisions
• Interface with SDS Finance Team to help align business forecasts, translate overhead budgets and manage organizational performance across multiple CAS segments
• Oversee and update the SDS Control Tower and associated dashboards to ensure accurate and timely reporting of key metrics
• Support the preparation of materials for leadership cadence reviews
• Contribute to RTX-wide Business Operations improvement initiatives, driving innovation and operational efficiency
• Develop and maintain organizational charts, distribution lists, and process templates to enhance team operations and communication efficiency
Qualifications You Must Have
• Experience in Staffing Systems and Tools
• Understanding of Engineering Program Execution metrics and organizational metrics
• Proficiency with Excel and Power BI for data analysis, reporting, and dashboard visualization
• Organized and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple priorities
• Strong communicator and collaborator across functions
• Comfortable working on both structured projects and ad-hoc urgent tasks
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft O365 tools with the ability to leverage collaboration features for information sharing, communication, and workflow efficiency
• Travel required 25% for business needs
• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
• Active and transferable SECRET clearance is required prior to start date
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
