As a Procurement Analyst you will be responsible for managing the procure-to-pay process for Direct/Indirect materials in support of operational purchasing needs and Supply Chain goals and objectives.
This position is based at our Santa Isabel, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.
What You Will Do
Carry out basic Procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including RFQs, negotiations, price analysis, and purchase order placement
Respond to inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction
Carry out activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services to ensure terms are in the organization’s best interest
Prepare purchase orders and negotiates prices to ensure on-time placement of orders to support customer demand
Prepare request for quotation (RFQ) and competes requirements to ensure fair and reasonable pricing is demonstrated
Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations including on time delivery
Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries
Responsible for all aspects of the relationship with a specific supplier within a commodity
Direct and manages all schedules, and purchase orders for given portfolio of suppliers
Ensure product is delivered on time, meets quality standards, and at the right cost
Must be able to travel 10%-15%
Qualifications You Must Have
A University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English (verbal and written)
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Qualifications We Prefer:
7 years of relevant experience
Experience using SAP (Procurement functions, Business Warehouse, Business Objects most preferred)
Experienced in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience with lean principles and productivity improvements
Knowledge of Indirect commodities in a manufacturing environment
