The RTX Corporate Government Accounting Organization is seeking a highly motivated Manager, Government Accounting. This is an exciting opportunity that will interface regularly across all functions and with Government Audit and Management agencies. Compliance matters at RTX Corporate with respect to FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) Parts 30 & 31, as well as the administration of CAS (Cost Accounting Standards).

What You Will Do:

  • Provide guidance to Corporate functional groups and the business segments with respect to the aforementioned regulations and standards

  • Provide support and liaison activities to the RTX Corporate DCAA (Defense Contract Audit Agency) and DCMA (Defense Contract Management Agency) concerning various audits, negotiations of incurred cost submissions, advance agreements and other inquiries made by these and other agencies

  • Maintain the RTX Corporate Cost Accounting Standards Board (CASB) Disclosure Statements

  • Issue annual Incurred Cost Notices to the various business segments across the company

  • Perform/calculate, as necessary, cost impact analysis of accounting changes resulting from modifications to the RTX Corporate CASB Disclosure Statements or alleged CAS noncompliance issues that arise

  • Maintain RTX Corporate TINA Disclosure for Contracts

  • Support overall Corporate Controller activities in Government Accounting and Compliance as required

  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

  • 5+ years progressive experience in government accounting, public accounting, or private industry

  • Knowledge of CAS and FAR regulations and ability to interpret and respond to regulatory issues.

  • Writing, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage tasks effectively.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to collaborate across RTX functions and with DCAA/DCMA counterparts.

  • Capability to manage multiple tasks independently while ensuring compliance with regulations

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Ability to negotiate resolution of key issues
  • Experience at a Big 4 accounting firm
  • MBA or CPA

RTX Global Ethics & Compliance (GEC) has an outstanding career opportunity for a Principle Compliance Specialist, Risk Assessments & Monitoring to help build out the realigned Risk Assessments and Monitoring function. This position will report to the Director of Risk Assessment, Monitoring & Testing.

What You Will Do

  • Support the development and expansion of risk assessment and monitoring activities, the delivery of meaningful data and analytics to senior leadership, and the development and tracking of timely and targeted corrective actions.

  • Support compliance testing activities, driving continuous improvements and continual expansion into additional risk areas.

  • Participate in the creation and use of data analytics and machine learning to maximize organizational impact of assessment outcomes.

  • Develop relationships with internal customers and collaborate with multiple business functions as a trusted business partner in providing risk assessment and monitoring guidance while ensuring the successful operation of RTX’s compliance programs.

  • Use technical skills to develop, maintain and improve solutions to mature the data environment and automation, including Sharepoint, PowerAutomate, PowerBI, and Tableau.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.

  • Experience working within a compliance or audit function, specifically supporting and executing the performance of audits and assessments.

  • Experience with regulatory compliance and assessments.

  • Previous experience analyzing and turning robust streams of data into actionable insights for stakeholders to consider.

  • Experience with data visualization tools

  • Experience with SAP

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
