What You Will Do:
- We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Parts Crib Attendant to join our Operations team in Columbus, GA.
- The Parts Crib Attendant will play a vital role in managing the inventory of parts and supplies essential for the maintenance and production processes within our aerospace manufacturing facility.
- This position requires a strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- This is a second shift position: Monday- Thursday 4x10 schedule. The shift starts in the late afternoon, and ends after midnight the following calendar day.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming parts and supplies in the parts crib, ensuring that all items are accurately logged and accounted for.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including stock levels, usage rates, and reorder points to ensure timely replenishment of parts.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and ensure the integrity of inventory data.
2. Parts Distribution:
- Issue parts and supplies to maintenance teams based on requests and established procedures.
- Ensure that all issued parts are properly documented and tracked in the inventory management system.
- Assist in the identification of obsolete or slow-moving inventory and recommend appropriate actions.
3. Organization and Cleanliness:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe parts crib environment, adhering to company safety standards and regulations.
- Implement best practices for parts storage and organization to facilitate easy access and retrieval of items.
- Regularly clean and maintain shelving, bins, and work areas to promote a safe and efficient workplace.
4. Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to understand their parts and supply needs and address any urgent requests.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding inventory issues, shortages, and supply chain concerns.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met promptly and accurately.
5. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the parts crib operations to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to develop skills related to inventory management and parts handling.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and trends in inventory management to contribute to team goals.
Qualifications You Must Have :
- HS Diploma or GED
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- 2 years or more industrial maintenance working directly with machines (doing both electrical and mechanical).
- Experience working with Microsoft Office.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
