Collins Aerospace is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) architect to be part of our Digital Architecture team. This role will shape how SIOP processes, data & systems come together to enable synchronized, fact-based decision making across complex global operations.
** This individual can sit at any Collins domestic location or remote. **
What YOU will do:
Develop current-state & future-state architecture blueprints that enable integrated, agile, and scalable production & aftermarket planning capabilities.
Drive harmonization of planning processes across business units while respecting program-specific constraints
Influence, guide, and support delivery of the 1-, 3-, and 5-year architectural strategies and roadmaps focusing on Plan to Produce process optimization and innovation enabling SIOP, Master production scheduling, material planning, production control & aftermarket planning capabilities.
Provide architectural leadership across core platforms, including ERP (e.g., SAP S/4HANA), Advanced Planning Systems (eg. Kinaxis, SAP IBP), Enterprise Warehouse Management (EWM), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Quality Management.
Support Implementation projects, representing the planning ecosystem, ensuring process handoffs, integration requirements and closed loop requirements are represented, designed, tested and supported.
Guide technology selection, modernization, and integration strategies with a focus on scalability, security, and performance
Ensure alignment with enterprise standards for Cybersecurity & Compliance, Identify and mitigate risks related to SIOP systems and ecosystem integration.
Partner with corporate, business unit functional teams, and external vendors to align strategies, with a focus on optimizing the technology footprint & solutions based on specific business needs and operational efficiencies
Collaborate with Domain Architects in Security, Infrastructure, Data & Business unit, to refine and evolve the Solution architectures, processes, practices, leveraging architectural frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman, DODAF, etc.)
Evaluate and recommend technologies and approaches (e.g., API integrations, cloud solutions, RPA, AI) to enhance SIOP functionality and ecosystem connectivity, supporting digital transformation and operational efficiency.
Qualifications YOU Must Have:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position (U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder).
8+ years of broad-based experience in SIOP domain or functional area, deployments, integration, or consulting, with extensive experience in implementing for large complex organizations.
Deep enterprise-level experience architecting and enabling integrated planning capabilities spanning production control, material planning, logistics, SIOP & Master production scheduling ensuring alignment across planning & execution domains.
Implementation experience with one or more of following systems - ERP (e.g., SAP S/4HANA), Advanced Planning Systems (eg. Kinaxis, SAP IBP), Enterprise Warehouse Management (EWM).
Proven track record as a Solution Architect or Technical Lead, crafting new solutions and delivering business outcomes.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience leading large-scale enterprise architecture initiatives with a focus on delivery business transformation initiatives.
Strong understanding of business processes, particularly in supply chain, production planning, manufacturing & quality functions.
Strong knowledge of integration patterns, cloud and hybrid architectures, API management, middleware, and data governance in multi-system environments.
Relevant experience in Aerospace & Defense industry preferred. Familiarity with the unique needs of manufacturing and aerospace, including compliance, quality management, and traceability.
Experience with working on enterprise architecture frameworks(TOGAF, Zachman, DoDAF) & tools (SparxEA, Cameo, LeanIX). Certification in any of the framework’s a plus.
Experience with Agile methodology such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and tools such as Jira.
Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills, with an ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Strong systems thinking and ability to navigate complex, interconnected environments.
Executive presence with the ability to influence, align, and inspire across functions. Balance of strategic vision and pragmatic execution.
Demonstrated experience in guiding cross-functional teams and fostering alignment on architecture strategies across diverse stakeholders

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
