As a Program Supplier Assurance Senior Manager at Raytheon, you will lead a team of Program Supplier Assurance Engineers who work as the primary quality assurance interface between our global supplier base and internal program stakeholders. In this leadership role, you will guide, develop, and empower your team to ensure effective execution across a diverse and complex supply chain supporting critical, advanced Defense Programs.
You will shape and implement strategies for supplier engagement planning, first article inspection verification, source inspection, quality issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving supplier performance, capability development, and alignment with Raytheon’s vision, values, and strategic objectives.
This role includes routine engagement with team members onsite at Letterkenny Army Depot (LEAD), supporting product integration operations and is remote. Visits to local suppliers in the PA region are required as is a home office be maintained. Candidates are expected to travel domestically up to 50% to include driving up to a 300-mile radius. Activities include inspection oversight, first article verification, nonconformance management, documentation development, supplier coordination, and close collaboration with global Supplier Assurance teams.
What you will do:
- Lead execution of supplier engagement and risk‑mitigation plans to support program objectives.
- Manage and develop a team of Supplier Assurance Engineers.
- Track and report supplier quality performance and key program metrics.
- Ensure clear flow‑down and compliance with product and quality requirements across suppliers.
- Drive supplier corrective actions, systemic issue resolution, and continuous improvement using RCCA, Lean, and Six Sigma tools.
- Apply APQP processes to strengthen supplier manufacturing and product quality.
- Collaborate with global Supplier Assurance teams to resolve issues and maintain alignment with standards.
- Support containment and nonconformance management for discrepant material.
Qualifications you must have:
- Typically requires: A university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with 7 years of relevant experience.
- Relevant experience is work in at least one of the following: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing & quality systems or technical supplier management
- Experience managing teams or leading / mentoring people
- Experience with supplier quality management, toolsets and / or equivalent (i.e. Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, etc.)

Qualifications we prefer:
- STEM degree
- Knowledge of industry technical standards (such as ANSI, CMMI, ASTM, etc.)
- Effective written/verbal Communications Skills
- Certifications - Six Sigma, Lean, ASQ, ISO 9001 Auditor
- Experience with cables and wiring harnesses, electro-mechanical assemblies, machined components, and/or final integration of end-item assemblies.
- GD&T Knowledge, understanding, and practical application
- Experience implementing modern Quality Assurance and Control methodologies such as Statistical Process Controls (SPC), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), and Continuous Improvement in a supplier setting.
- Practical knowledge of Aerospace or commercial equivalent Preventative tools – APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA, etc.
- Practical knowledge of Root Cause Corrective Action processes
- Practical knowledge of Special Manufacturing Processes and their management
- Practical knowledge of First Article Inspection and AS9102 management
- Experience with hardware inspection techniques
- Knowledge of General Statistical Process Control
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with customers or partners (both internal and external to Raytheon)
- Communication skills that exhibit presence and influence

This position currently is designated as remote. Employees who are working in remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home) but may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. The successful candidate for this role will be required to reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories).

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
