The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team:
RTX has an opening for a Director of SAP Platforms CoE Leader (Director, Business Systems and Transformation) role responsible for shaping, governing, and advancing the ECC SAP Platforms CoE roadmap and strategy in alignment with S4 HANA implementation. This leader will guide platform strategy, ensure secure and reliable operations, and build future-ready SAP technical capabilities.
This position resides in the Enterprise Services – Application Technical Services Organization, partnering closely with S4 HANA implementation team, Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, Business Units and external partners.
- Strategic thinker with a proven leadership background and can demonstrate a well-rounded familiarity with SAP platforms on cloud Led large-scale S/4HANA implementation.
- Accountable for the development and implementation of the team’s roadmap, playbooks, and patterns.
- Senior Executive leadership interaction will be routine, requiring strong communication skills in these forums.
- Primary point of contact for stakeholders, tracks progress and adjusts plans as necessary to deliver business value and meet functional needs effectively.
- You will be responsible for creating workforce and staffing plans to ensure availability of human capital necessary to accomplish business results. Coaches and develops talent.
What You Will Do:
Responsible for SAP Platforms, Basis, SAP Security, SAP landscape management, and integration points with SAP S/4HANA and ECC legacy systems.
Develop and execute the modernization roadmap aligned to S/4HANA, cybersecurity, and enterprise architecture strategies.
Leading team size of 40+ across SAP Technical and responsible managing operations, financials and workforce strategy across these services areas
Establish SAP Basis & Security modernization roadmap (aligned to S/4 and compliance needs
Define and manage the enterprise release calendar, coordinating cross platform deployments across integrated systems such as Salesforce and SAP.
Serve as the final authority for Change Advisory Board decisions to ensure changes are appropriately tested, documented, and approved.
Manage transport and deployment management processes to maintain code quality and prevent environment conflicts or drift.
Define and champion the enterprise integration strategy aligned with S/4HANA transformation, business unit priorities, and broader digital modernization objectives.
Influence and guide Business Units on integration modernization, platform adoption, and architectural alignment with the S/4HANA program.
Process and Environment Management - Partner with DevOps teams to ensure non production environments remain stable and aligned with production configurations.
Define, track, and report key stability and quality metrics including Mean Time to Recovery, Change Success Rate, Application Test Coverage, and Automated Test Coverage.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on platform reliability and deployment discipline.
Innovation
Identify opportunities for automation and AI driven insights within Governance, Quality, and Release Management domains.
Serve as an executive-level thought leader providing strategic guidance to senior leaders across technology and business domains.
Partner with SAP, Enterprise Architecture, Security, and PST leaders to ensure cohesive design and decision-making across systems and platforms.
Provide strategic oversight to ensure resilience, scalability, and performance.
Develop and grow high performing teams, enabling future ready skills in SAP technical disciplines, and platform operations.
Continuously enhance operational processes, improving reliability, efficiency, and business value for all supported platforms.
Ability to travel up to 25%.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Minimum of 14+ years' experience in SAP Platforms and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree
Strong experience in successfully leading large SAP Platforms center of excellence and platforms modernization as part of S4 HANA Implementation
Proven ability to shape strategy, build governance frameworks, and drive enterprise wide adoption of standards and platforms with knowledge and understanding of SAP Technical areas and SAP ECC.
Experience building or leading Center of Excellence, guiding large teams, and developing technical talent with strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively collaborate, negotiate and influence technical and nontechnical staff at all organizational levels, as well as a strong work ethic and proven perseverance in driving issues through to completion to obtain intended results.
Qualifications We Prefer
Extensive experience leading large-scale SAP Platform organizations and driving platform modernization within S/4HANA transformation programs.
Proven ability to shape enterprise platform strategy, establish governance frameworks, and drive adoption of SAP standards and patterns.
Strong understanding of SAP technical architecture, SAP ECC, S/4HANA, Basis, Security, and Integration technologies.
Demonstrated success leading global teams, building Centers of Excellence, and developing technical talent.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior executives and translate complex technical concepts into clear business value.
Strong executive presence, strategic mindset, and ability to operate effectively in highly matrixed environments.
Ability to Travel up to 25%

The salary range for this role is 186,200 USD - 353,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
