JOB SUMMARY: The Ticketing Associate is an Independent Contractor position which supports retail and ticketing/Box Office operations for RiverCenter and reports directly to the Box Office Manager. This high-profile position requires excellent customer service skills and face-to-face interaction as well as telephone communications to assist with sales inquiries in a heavy traffic environment. Must be able to communicate both verbally and written as well as use the RiverCenter’s computerized ticketing system. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide customer service for ticket purchases (phone and in-person), during normal box office hours (Mon–Fri, 10:00 AM–3:00 PM) and two hours prior to performances; work flexible event hours (evenings/weekends); accurate cash handling and daily settlements; assist Box Office and Marketing with bulk mail and other requests; assist internal departments; upsell during transactions; stay current on scheduled events; organize and clean office workspaces. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: One year of customer service, ticket sales, or clerical experience; high school diploma or equivalent; some college/technical education preferred (education and experience may substitute for one another). KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS: Ticketing software experience a plus; proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word); excellent oral and written communication; strong organization, time management, attention to detail; teamwork and collaboration; conflict resolution and problem-solving; ability to work independently; flexible hours including evenings, weekends, occasional holidays.
