Administer anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist. Assist with pre-operative and post-operative patient evaluations.

Minimum Education
X Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by AANA council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational programs or it predecessor X Required

Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Basic Life Support (BLS) X Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
PALS (Operating Room only)
Certification by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists

Current Georgia License

Minimum Work Experience
Prior work as an anesthetist in an acute care setting is preferred
Prior work history with cardiac anesthesia is beneficial
