The Bradley Center of St. Francis-Emory Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to work in our 37 bed crisis stabilization unit (CSU).We are dedicated in our goal to provide our community with the best psychiatric care in the area, and our RN’s have an integral role in making that happen!  The Bradley Center has been providing psychiatric and mental health services to our community for over 60 years, and we take pride in being a patient-focused community-based facility.We provide training in behavioral and mental health care, addiction care, and the opportunity to advance in your RN career by promoting growth from within.

The role of the CSU RN is to provide treatment to patients with an acute mental illness, by providing mental health services in a supportive clinical setting, until either the patients improve enough for discharge, or it is determined that they require inpatient psychiatric care.  We provide our community with 24-hour, 7-day a week, year-round service for individuals who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis requiring emergent stabilization that cannot wait until a regularly scheduled appointment.  Offering excellent benefit packages, continuous pay increases, some of the most competitive pay in the area, flexible self-scheduling, excellent retirement packages, and more!!

This Registered Nurse will be responsible but not limited to: 

  • Under the direction of the Clinical Coordinator and/or Nursing Unit Director, perform nursing patient care duties for the assigned unit or department. 
  • Plan, provide, and evaluate total nursing care in accordance with the established patient care philosophy. 
  • Facilitate individualized, goal-directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures. 
  • Relate effectively with other shifts for continuity of care, maintain satisfactory relations with other departments and nursing units; and participate in all phases of education.

Qualifications

Minimum Education

Associate degree in nursing Required (RN)
Bachelor’s degree in nursing Preferred (RN)

Required Skills:

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a busy environment and take appropriate action when needed.

Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS).
Handle with Care Certification or CPI within 90 days of hire preferred.
ACLS-preferred.


Licenses:
Valid licensure in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse (RN) or multi state/compact RN license.

Minimum Work Experience:
Six (6) months of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a direct patient care setting preferred.

New RN graduates are encouraged to apply as well.
