Description

Summary:Manage activities associated with chaplains, the CPE program, mission effectiveness throughout the St. Francis Healthcare system. Responsible for daily operations, forward planning for future ministry events, on call schedules, staffing needs.

Lead, manage and coordinate department projects.

Assumes responsibility for the direction and management of the Chaplain Services Department activities.

Ensures that the unique needs of all internal and external customers are addressed.

Directs and fosters mission education and partnership with the SFH system and the community.

Reviews department performance, effects changes as needed to improve services provided and assures compliance with regulatory / accreditation requirements.

Establishes policies and procedures for all staff working under the umbrella of Chaplain Services (to include coordination with CPE Supervisor for accreditation required policies and procedures).

Plans, organizes, and directs department activities. Develops goals and objectives.

Selects, trains/orients and assigns department staff.

Develops standards of performance in monitoring and supervising staff; evaluates performance and initiates or makes recommendations for personnel actions.

Qualifications

Education:Graduate of an approved program in Theology or Divinity or comparable degree

Experience: Three (3) years of chaplaincy experience

Certification: Minimum of two (2) units of clinical pastoral education (CPE)

Minimum Salary: $20.65

Maximum Salary: $32.0
