- Under the direction of an RN is responsible for patient safety, welfare, and the implementation of therapeutic milieu and treatment plans
- Serve as a patient observer on a patient care unit who has been assessed to require any degree of observation in order to maximize patient safety
- Perform general receptionist and clerical duties in order to facilitate efficiency of the nursing unit

Qualifications
Minimum Education
- High school diploma or equivalent Required
- Two (2) years of collegiate coursework to include general psychology, interpersonal communication, abnormal psychology, and/or human growth and development Preferred
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certified Required
- Nursing Assistant (CNA) Preferred
- Handle with Care Certification or CPI within 90 days of hire
Minimum Work Experience
- One (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting is Preferred
Required Skills
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
