Pay: $24/HR

Schedule: M-F 8AM-5PM. In addition, every third week will require this employee to be on-call. Overtime may be needed during that week.

This is an on-site role based at our Columbus, GA facility.

Summary of This Role

Performs preventive and predictive maintenance required for the installation, repair, and modernization of non-specialized machinery and mechanical equipment, plumbing, general construction, and general building maintenance of Global Payments facilities. Provides support and consultation to internal clients in order to identify requirements and configuration is applicable to all relevant federal, statutory, local, and/or internal codes, regulations, requirements, and methodologies. Practices safety first and ensures all proper safe guards are utilized and tools are used in the appropriate manner.

What Part Will You Play?

  • Conducts routine preventative maintenance on non‐specialized mechanical equipment, machinery, and other equipment, such as repairs and maintenance of air compression, bailing, and vacuum systems. Performs plumbing maintenance and repairs for water and drain lines. General building maintenance, including light construction work. Executes basic repairs in accordance with original equipment manufacturers (OEM) instructions or building codes, ensuring safety regulations are followed. Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to manager.
  • Maintains the preventative maintenance program records for all material handling equipment and mechanical devices. Records completed repairs, routine maintenance, and items used to perform the work.
  • Coordinates installation, maintenance, or repair work with internal/external personnel, contractors, or vendors on work outside of scope.
  • Displays a developing ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment and understand preventative maintenance procedures by employing a basic knowledge of mechanical processes associated with particular types of facilities. Consults manuals, reads and comprehends blueprints, technical diagrams, and other schematics.

What Are We Looking For in This Role?

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Typically Minimum 2 Years Relevant Exp
  • Experience in mechanical maintenance, construction, or related field
  • Will operate a company vehicle, must have a clean driving record and take all appropriate driving courses


Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree
  • A Degree or equivalent certificate in Mechanical Technology & Repair from Community or Technical College.
  • Typically Minimum 4 Years Relevant Exp
  • Experience in mechanical maintenance, construction, or related field
