You will design performant, resilient, secure and fault tolerant cloud solutions to meet the needs of the business and guidance from Solution Architects and support development teams and other stakeholders on the implementation of these designs.

What You’ll Do

• Be an architecture and technical expert, particularly within the Cloud and software development domains

• Be a proponent for best practices and corporate standards within the company

• Aware that we work in an online real time environment where the platform must be secure, fault tolerant, highly available and automated for the processing of real time transactions

• Support and guide development teams as they work to bring your designs to production

• Share your designs for peer review and feedback

• Work closely with the business throughout the SDLC to provide technical support, obtaining their requirements and promote the IT vision for the organisation

Who You Are

• Have knowledge of modern development best practices including CI/CD, microservices, architectural patterns and REST APIs

• Excellent technical skills in Java, Cloud and related technologies

• Experienced working in an Agile environment working

• An independent worker who raises issues, takes ownership and proposes solutions

• Experienced working in an Agile environment working with a wide range of stakeholders including developers, operational engineers, product owners, project managers and senior management

Nice to Have

• Experience working in an Agile environment with multiple development teams

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, prioritisation, decision making and relationship-building skills

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform

• Experience and knowledge of the payments / merchant-acquiring industry
