| Job Summary | The college of Arts and Sciences (CAS) at Troy University invites qualified applicants for the Chair of Computer Science Department in 12 month contract beginning on 08/01/2023. Rank & salary will be commensurate with qualification and experiences. Computer Science Department houses 2 undergraduate programs (Computer Science and Cyber Security), 1 undergraduate degree (Applied Computer Science) and 1 graduate program (Computer Science, with seven concentrations). The department is currently serving more than 700 undergraduate and graduate students with 9 full time faculty members at different campuses, Troy, Montgomery, Online and International sites. This position will report directly to the Dean of CAS. |

| Minimum Qualifications | * Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cyber Security or closely related discipline from accredited institutions * Good documented track record of achievements in research, teaching and service * Good communication (oral and written), management and interpersonal skills to communicate with students, faculty and staff * Good management skills to oversee and allocate various types of resources in the department * Ability to foster a collaborative academic environment within and across disciplines |
