The Lecturer position in Social Work/Human Services will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses across the BSW, MSW, and/or Human Services curricula, with a particular emphasis on direct practice and methods courses; assisting with student advisement; possessing an interest in developing educational and professional leadership skills; and having knowledge of, and experience, with course delivery methods such as on-line and hybrid courses.

(1) Master’s degree in Social Work from a CSWE accredited program or a related discipline;
(2) Ph.D. or ABD in Social Work, or related field;
(3) Minimum of four years of direct social work practice experience;

(1) Ph.D. or ABD in Social Work or allied field;
(2) Blackboard/Canvas experience;
(3) Curriculum development experience;
(4) Capacity to teach military social work or organizational management and leadership courses;
(5) An active Alabama Social Work License, or the ability to obtain an Alabama Social Work License; (6) Ability to develop a program of research
(7) Interest in pursuing grants and contracts that lead to applied, community-based research/evaluation projects.
