Job Summary
The Troy University School of Social Work and Human Services invites applications for a full-time, 10-month, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor positions, beginning August 1, 2025. The Assistant/Associate Professor position in Social Work/Human Services will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses across the BSW, MSW, and/or Human Services curricula, with a particular emphasis on direct practice and methods courses; assisting with student advisement; possessing an interest in developing educational and professional leadership skills; and having knowledge of, and experience, with course delivery methods such as on-line and hybrid courses.

We offer a BSW and MSW program (four program options are available: Dothan, Montgomery, Phenix City, Troy, and Online) and a Bachelor of Science in Human Services.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Master’s degree in Social Work from CSWE accredited program or a related discipline.
2. Ph.D or ABD in Social Work or related field.
3. Minimum of two years of direct social work practice experience.
4. University teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Ph.D. or ABD in Social Work or allied field.
2. Blackboard/Canvas experience.
3. Curriculum development experience.
4. Capacity to teach military social work or organizational management and leadership courses.
5. An active Alabama Social Work License, or the ability to obtain an Alabama Social Work License.
6. Ability to develop a program of research.
7. Interest in pursuing grants and contracts that lead to applied, community-based research/evaluation projects.
