The Department of Economics, Finance, Risk Management and Insurance in the Sorrell College of Business at Troy University invites applications for a full time Lecturer of Risk Management and Insurance.

Troy University is a public university in Troy, AL and is one of only 189 schools that are AACSB accredited in both business and accounting. The department and college have a strong commitment to high-quality teaching, student mentorship and engagement with the insurance industry.

The appointment will be effective for the 2024-2025 academic year, beginning August 1, 2025. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate courses, primarily in risk management and insurance. Additional responsibilities will include academic and career advising for students, engaging with industry partners through various events, and providing service to the Risk Management and Insurance program.

The typical teaching load is a 4/4 (12 credit hours each semester). Candidates must demonstrate the potential for high quality teaching.

Master’s degree is required by the time the appointment starts, from an AACSB-accredited institution.
