| Job Summary | The Lecturer, Technical Director, Scene Shop Manager position is a full-time faculty position offering potential for exploration in teaching, leadership, logistics management, artistry, and service. The Technical Director maintains oversight of the various technical aspects of production, with emphasis in the area of scenery and properties. This position is primarily responsible for construction and management of scenery and props for Theatre and Dance productions, teaching and mentoring with a student-centric approach aimed at providing opportunities for students to develop skill, independence, and agency. The qualified candidate will demonstrate a desire to produce quality scenery, sets, and props that complement and support theatre and dance presentations by collaborating toward common goals with the director, designers, and production manager in the development of productions, simultaneously offering students high-quality experiential learning opportunities. Opportunities for design, teaching, and experience in adjacent areas of expertise are available, and integration of disciplines is encouraged. Support from faculty colleagues, artistic team, production manager, and department administration is strong. Applicants with a passion for teaching are strongly encouraged to apply.
