Job Summary
The position of Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) or Lecturer (Non Tenure Track) & Physical Activity Program Coordinator will carry a 24 hour annual teaching load teaching assigned classes across the Sport Pedagogy and Coaching programs. The position will also engage in service to the University, College, School, and community as outlined by the College of Health Sciences and the School of Allied Health. This position also carry’s the administrative role of physical activity program coordinator (see below for details). As well as other assigned duties by the School of Allied Health. If hired at Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) this role will also engage in scholarship as outlined by the College of Health Sciences.

Physical Activity Program Coordinator Duties
- Direct all aspects of the growing physical activity program for SAH
- Chair the Physical Activity curriculum committee
- Recommend schedule of classes for the Physical activity program to the chair
- Lead and direct the development and maintenance of the Physical Activity curriculum
- Point of contact for Physical Activity program issues
- Direct all aspects of the growing AKA nationally recognized home school program
- Point of contact for Home school program issues
- Direct all aspects of the equipment rooms associated with the physical activity program
- Point of contact for physical activity equipment issues
- Participate in physical activity program enhancement efforts
- Provide relevant information on undergraduate students to be used in marketing materials (i.e., website, social media, brochures, newsletter, etc.)
- Maintain a bank of qualified adjuncts for physical activity classes
- Equipment ordering and delivery of all physical activity course equipment
- Equipment maintenance on all physical activity course equipment
- Supply inventory
- Equipment demonstrations
- Community interactions
- Facility tours
- Working Summer IMPACT
- Summer IMPACT session tours
- Holding weekly office hours for student needs fall/spring/summer
- Participation in summer graduation
- Assisting with all areas of ongoing recruitment of khp students fall/spring/summer (in person/virtual/etc.)
- Responsible for all aspects of marketing, branding, and program recruitment

Minimum Qualifications
1. Must hold a Master’s degree in Physical Education/Sport Pedagogy.
2. Professional Teacher certified in Physical Education/Teacher Education.
3. Three or more years of K-12 teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Earned Doctorate in Physical Education/Sport Pedagogy or related field.
2. Licensed Professional Teacher certified in Physical Education/Teacher Education.
3. Certified Interscholastic Coach (CIC Level 3).
4. Five or more years of K-12 teaching experience.
5. Three or more years of Collegiate teaching experience.
Will this position require driving (personal vehicle, university vehicle, utility vehicle, or golf cart) in order to perform the job duties? Driving may be necessary but is not a primary responsibility
