| Job Summary | The Auxiliary Teacher position is responsible for teaching in an infant, toddler, two-year old, three-year old or four- year old classroom program in the Coleman Center, by either co-teaching or teaching independently, and reports to the Director of Coleman Center. |
| Minimum Qualifications | 1. High School Diploma or GED and at least (9) credit hours of college coursework in Early Childhood Education or Child Development from a regionally accredited institution 2. Experience working with children in a group format 3. Strong written and oral communication skills 4. Knowledge of curriculum and child development 5. Energetic and positive attitude 6. Ability to develop excellent working relationships |
| Preferred Qualifications | 1. A Child Development Associate (CDA) OR Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field 2. Previous experience working with children in a group format in an Alabama DHR licensed child care center 3. Previous experience with Creative Curriculum or Conscious Discipline |
